January 31 — The CFPB has issued a request for information (RFI) regarding adminstrative adjudciations, seeking to better understand the benefits and impacts of its use of such. Information on possible improvements to the existing process are also sought.
This is the second in a series of RFIs announced by acting director Mick Mulvaney, who has issued a call for evidence to ensure the bureau is fulfilling its function of protecting consumers. The public may submit feedback and suggest improvements for both consumers and covered entities.
The RFI is available here, and more information regarding the call for evidence can be found here.
The bureau plans to issue a RFI addressing the CFPB’s enforcement processes next week.
